Long queues of vehicles for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol on Tuesday morning resurfaced in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital.
Platforms Africa reports that while more filling stations shut their gates against motorists, a few that dispensed the product became centres of struggle as about one hundred vehicles lined up to get the product.

On the Iyana-Iba – Egbeda axis, only two filling stations (Oando and Total) were selling as at the time of this report while the gates of other stations including the ones belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) were under lock and key.
The experience is the same on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
Platforms Africa reports that the queues at a few stations selling the product have disrupted the flow of vehicles on the roads.
It would be recalled that Abuja, the administrative capital of Nigeria, has being suffering scarcity of petrol in the last two weeks.
Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs of NNPCL, Mallam Garba Deen Muhammed, could not be reached for comment. His line was switched off while a WhatsApp message sent to him has not been read.
